Tucked away in Ventura County between Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks is the City of Moorpark. Not far from the campus o f Moorpark College is the city’s historic High Street. I met Danielle and Scott for their eSession on High Street yesterday afternoon. Danielle and Scott were such a fun couple to shoot. They just love to joke around with each other make make each other laugh. They seemed so natural and comfortable with each other that anyone could quickly see how in love they are with each other. I really look forward to shooting their wedding at Walnut Grove Tierra Rejada Ranch in Moorpark this August. It didn’t take long for us to get some great shots starting with the ones of Danielle and Scott on Scott’s Harley-Davidson. Not only was this my first photo shoot on High Street in Moorpark, it was my first shoot with a Harley. How cool is that? After Scott parked the Harley, we walked up High Street through the historic Old Town Moorpark. The late afternoon Ventura County sunshine provided plenty of warm golden light for our session. I just love that afternoon light.
I especially want to thank the folks at The Secret Garden Restaurant for letting us use their beautiful garden setting to shoot the last series of photos for the day. This was one of the most charming restaurants I’ve been to and I look forward to taking my wife there for dinner the next time we’re in Moorpark.
